Bid & Tender Review Services
The bid writing process is a complex and thorough one. While you may have meticulous attention to detail, you
may be too close and too involved with the submission to do an effective review.

What is a Bid Review?
A critical part of the process, a bid review can be the difference between a winning bid vs a bid that gets pipped to the post. This review process ensures that the responses are answering the client’s needs and helps to identify the potential for success of the bid, including win themes, discriminators, key personnel, team members, and more.
Any gaps or risks in the proposal are addressed during this stage; it may sound simple but the trick is in answering the actual question and not being guilty of telling the client what you think they have asked you. Sometimes a fresh pair of
expert eyes is all you need.
Here at BWS, we’re not only exceptional when it comes to the actual bid writing itself; we’re also highly adept at reviewing and improving bids that have already been prepared, but perhaps need an extra pair of eyes. We take the time to understand the needs of your business and the Buyer so we can ensure everything aligns, and you’re putting the best possible bid forwards for consideration.
Our team think like buyers and awarding panels; we put ourselves in their shoes to ensure your bid response can’t help but see the values in awarding the bid to your organisation.
Our Bid Review Process
There are two main ways we can review your bid, depending on the level of detail you require and the timeframes involved.
Review & Comment
This is the most basic level of service. BWS reviews your draft bid documents for compliance, response structure, unique selling points, and added value. We will provide comments and guidance to help you refine and improve your proposal or tender response.
This service is ideal if you need a professional set of eyes to ensure your bid is on the right track.
Review & Improve
This is a much more in-depth level of service; we will review your draft, improve the written content, and manage the process through to completion. We will also collect additional information, rewrite portions of the bid, and develop themes to enhance your submission. We write and see hundreds of successful bids each year so we know what a winning bid looks like.
This level of service is perfect if you want more hands-on assistance to strengthen your bid.

Frequently Asked Questions

The million dollar question… Don’t worry, it’s certainly not that much!
We appreciate that outsourcing your tender writing is an investment. Each bid is a unique project and as such we need to review the tender documentation in order to provide an accurate price. We will discuss and formulate a cost that is feasible and manageable to you.
It benefits our clients when we work on your tenders with some ‘skin in the game’ and operate on a fixed fee win bonus model. Our pricing is fully transparent and there will never be any ‘added extras’. You will be quoted a fixed fee for the work but we will reduce our fee as much as we can and include a win bonus… If you win, we win, if you lose… Let’s not talk about that!

As tenders can vary in length, number of questions, level of detail required and answer complexity, it is difficult to predict how long the process will take. To quote accurately for your bid writing service of choice, we would need to see the tender documentation and gain a better understanding of your business.
